Default Suspension help on my Ek Hatch

So just upgraded my suspension today. 4 month old Ground Controls W/Tokico Blues. I'm have a problem with my driver-side top-hat/middle bolt area.... it's higher. Haven't driven the car, because i don't want anything to go wrong with it if its defected. Little rubber piece gets pushed up and the whole shock/coils have play. idk if these pictures do any justice..thanks in advance.

That washer is supposed to to UNDER the top hat/shock mount. There should be a weld or perch on the shock rod itself that supports the washer.

Exact thing I was going to say.

The washer will have an indent on it. Those Tokicos should have came with it, so you should have some extra ones.

Oh and GC with Tokico Blues???? Come on dude, you should know better than that.

If you have the washer in the correct place in this pic, then either the shock rod has no mounting perch or the washer is too big or the wrong one. Hard to say. You should take it apart and reassemble. No offense, but have you installed shocks/springs before?

idk..i assembled it twice to make sure..only thing difference between the two front are the top washer and the rubber piece.(obvious) lol i got the shocks by themselves no bolt, washers, ect. I used my old ones all the bolts, washers, rubber. it was fine before..
and unfortunetly this IS MY first time assembling shock/coilovers by myself. :/

You're missing the other piece of rubber. You should have 2 of the little black ones. When putting it together, the bump stop goes in (you're leaving it out it seems), then there's a washer, then a black piece of rubber (pointy end down), then the "tophat", then the metal tube, the other piece of rubber(pointy end up), then the washer, then the nut torqued to 22 ft Lbs.

Don't know if I have another one of those laying in my parts bin. I can look if you need it.

Oh, and I liked your gold wheels better LOL
