Suspension/ Handling Mods for 92 civic EX sedan
hi Guys, I just picked up a 92 Civic EX sedan 5 spd and wanted to do basic handling mods. nothing too extreme but some stuff to stiffen up the ride. I did own 91 Crx si and had done a stiffer bushing kit conversion and upper strut bars. I don't want to spend too much money either something less than $500. i can do the labor myself.
thanks all

Dollar for dollar the best first handling mod to most fwd cars is an aftermarket rear swaybar. You may be able to pull this piece off of an si or something out of a junkyard if you are trying to do this on the super cheap. I also really like the full poly urethane bushing upgrade because it is cheap and it helps the car perform in everyway, but it can be a pain to install yourself.

upgrade to a 14mm stock gsr rear sway, see how you like it. If you want something bigger later on, you can always upgrade to the ASR brace with a 21mm+ rear sway bar.
As for upgrading to a simply a stiffer suspension, consider picking up a set of new/used skunk2 slip over coilovers (civic application spring rates) paired with tokico illuminas. This is the best bang for the buck setup if you want to go stiffer.
