Most power = Turbocharger.

i was under the impression that superchargers add power throuh all rpms where as turbo only adds through the high rpm's.

your gonna produce way more power with a turbocharger, on a full race kit (http://www.full-race.com) with only a low amount of boost (6 -7 PSI) you will produce just as much if not more than most superchargers. However if you still decide to go with the supercharger I would reccomend the Vortech Centrifugal Supercharger which creates a substancial amount of power but is quite expensive.

supercharger works low end, mid, not so high end. turbo is pure high end.

This is an age old question that's been debated over the years.

For a Civic you want to go with a turbo. I would run a block guard in the motor like most of the boosted cars do with a full rebuild.

Supercharger is a great device, but only works on certain applications like an S2000.

If you want to go straight in a fast hurry, then a turbo is your answer. If you're auto crossing then a supercharger is your answer.

In a honda motor, turbocharging works best. In the common automotive terms you always see big hot rods with blowers that make over 1000hp. Well, reality check man, you have a honda. In hondas Turbo > blower.

turbo would be a wiser choice. but it is very risky if u boost it too much

depends what ur swap is, a turbo is more practical for daily applications, especially with the honda's low torque/low displacement motors (and especially with 4 bangers), the supercharger gives u more power (gives u full power throughout the powerband opposed to a turbo which has to spool up), only difference is it has to rob power from the engine as an extra load so it cancels out some of that power...

On basically any honda engine u'll want a turbocharger...air powered...not belt...

How fast do you want to go? How much power do you want.

For a street car I've always felt 250-300whp is enough in a civic. More than that and it is only useful above 100mph. I don't drive that fast on the street...

I'd much rather have a 300whp super charged setup over a 300whp turbo. You have better throttle response, linear power delivery, low rpm boost (off idle with a eaton), and no lag.

For type go EATON (Jackson Racing). Vortec is nice for peak power, but on a small motor you need torque. A high boost vortec on a 2l vtec could be nice too.

If you want 200whp go all motor.
If you want 200-300whp go supercharger.
If you want over 300whp go turbo.

That simple.

BTW Here is my supercharged setup: http://www.ftlracing.com/membe....html
