Supercharger in a DX?

Re: Supercharger in a DX? (Spade)
Yea, I think you'd be a lot happier with a swap. You'll end up spending a grip...when you could have gotten a swap for the same price and be just as reliable as stock.

it should fit because the jrsc replaces the intake manifold if I'm not mistaken.
but jrsc suck ***, and installing one on a civic dx would suck even more ***.

actually to avoid putting out misinformation....the JRSC can make power if tuned properly.
I just happen to not be a big fan of it

Re: Supercharger in a DX? (ITR 2K)
Have any of you guys actually tried a JRSC on a D15b7? It might be better than you think for certain applications. The motor in stock form puts out good and smooth torque, so imagine it with a JRSC. I think it might be a good combination if properly tuned. You'll certainaly be a heck of a lot lighter than a EG with a B series swap.

D15 has weak rods. Yes the JRSC will fit, but rods will fail quickly.
135 crank hp/118 to the wheels with just bolt-ons.
I out ran stock 99-00 Si's everytime.

Simple = AEM, Stillen header, 2.25" exhaust
Just as easy = CRX Si cam, Z6 intake mainfold.
Cam was installed in the 1/2 tooth retarded position.

Re: Supercharger in a DX? (RK)
endyn does not make superchargers.. they will never come out with them. What they have is Endyn modded JRSC that is capable of producing more boost, that is it. BTW. anybody want to buy some crower 63403 cams. They are awesome. Lemme know if interested.

Well...weren't they still supposed to be selling the supercharger plus the "endyn" kit? This thing has been hyped up for such a long time. I know Larry from Endyn knows his stuff...but I've heard some shady stories about him and his supposedly endyn business.

Re: Supercharger in a DX? (RK)
yes...I wonder if adding a supercharger to my dx will even do anything! 98 that is.
This guy with an ex has a supercharger and he doesn't run much faster than the si's with basic mods! like maybe .2 secs faster.
I think it would just be better and more efficient to do an engine swap!
I stil dream of when my civic will have a lude engine....or when I can just drive a prelude.

Re: Supercharger in a DX? (CivicGirl114)
I drove a friend's JRSC'd Del Sol with the D16Y7 (converted to Y8). It was extremely unimpressive. Even if the car was a bit faster at low revs, the JRSC seemed to actually choke the car off a bit at higher rpm's (above 5000). This gave the acceleration curve a sort of linear quality, so it completely lacked the top end rush of a turbo or VTEC motor. In a word, *boring*. Considering the price he paid for the thing, I believe it was a total waste of money.
