I had bought a car yesterday, drove it about 200 miles knowing there was a small oil leak, turns out while driving it got a lot worse. My windshield driver side window, and the whole driver side of the engine bay was caked in oil and i had to fill up about 2.5 quarts. It drips from the front when it’s stopped, but is likely coming from somewhere else. The guy i bought it from said he replaced all gaskets, but where should i look?? I can show pictures if could help. Car seems to run decent other than that, and a kinda bad idle though. No timing cover on the top and the belt is a little bit tight.
Pictures of the engine bay and some close ups would probably help in trying to see where it's leaking from.
i’m not sure exactly what to take pictures of, just let me know and i’ll do. whenever i went above 70-75 it started to smoke into the interior pretty bad if that helps at all
If you have access to some degreaser, I'd start by cleaning off the engine first. Try to get most of the oil and grime out, then run the motor and try to follow where the oil is leaking from.
I'm thinking so too, i would assume that its gotta be somewhere near the timing belt, as it looks like it could be flinging oil to my hood, door, and windows.

That thing looks caked up.
I'll take some from work lol, I tried running the motor today just for around 3 minutes to see, but it didn't look like it was leaking. The guy said to me that it only leaked after driving, so I might have to drive it a little bit then park it again and hope to find it. Ill update you when I have a chance in the next few days possibly.
i’m not sure, how could i check this?? It seems it could be coming from over there and getting flicked up by the open timing belt ( which i need to find a cover for ) and then it drips off of the front of my oil pan/driver side
Smoke usually means it's hitting the exhaust. The breather box can drip on to the exhaust. As well as distributor. There are so many gaskets it's hard to say without cleaning all of them and then driving and immediately checking. Not a fun task.
hit the engine with degreaser, let it dry. Then use either baby powder or flour, sprinkle it all over the engine and start it up. the wet spot will tell you where the oil leak is

Will be checking Valve Cover Gasket, i took it off to replace and noticed two threads were stripped completely, so i’ll be rethreading then and cleaning it up and hoping that stops the leak, will update.
