94 civic ex coupe.. what kind of oil should I use?
Hi, I just bought a 94 civic ex coupe, 2 door 5 speed with about 150k miles on it. It runs and drives fine. I bought it solely for daily driving, as I have heard they get great gas mileage. What type of oil should I run in the motor, I live in new england so it is between 70-90 degrees during the summer. So, what do you suggest running for oil?

I'd suggest something like 10w-30 synthetic oil. You can usually get about 7500 miles out of it. Theres a huge debate over who makes the best oil, but usually up at the top are Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and the more expensive Motul and Repsol.

I recently switched to Mobil1 5-30 and IT HALTED MY CAMSHAFT WEARING OUT. I swear my lash was opening up .005-.010 every 6 weeks and after switching it stopped.

You should drive with regular cheap dino oil until you find out how much oil it burns. If the engine is tight then move on to more expensive synthetic oils. If it's loose use thicker high mileage dino oil. That's what I do.
