Default Help with Block purchase, is it safe?

I really hate to make a thread like this so I'm gonna make it as tech orientated as I can. Basically a guy on ebay didnt sell his block and is parting it out and gave me a really good price for the bare block which can be found here.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

If you read through it you notice that two of the cylinders have marks on them on the underside from we he says is possibly the rods hitting them. I asked him to send me more pics which he said he would tomorrow. My question to H-T is really, is this block safe to buy as far as those marks go? Is it an indication of other problems, may it lead to other problems, are there other things I should check out? I plan on sleeving and boring the block to an 84.5 bore. The block will be bought bare. Sorry for making a "should I buy" this thread, I'm just not positive on whether or not this is a real problem. Thanks H-T.

if its just a bare block dont do it, expecially since the quality is quesrionable. i picked up a mint b16 bottom bare and a crank as a package for $150 shipped
