Subframe Swap Help (DC to EK)
I'm in the process of swapping a DC front subframe to my EK.
I'm having a couple of issues.
The part circled in red. When I go to bolt that up to the Civic chassis, it doesn't line up properly. I can BARELY get the bolt to go through and thread and then it gets REALLY hard to turn because it's going in crooked. Any ideas? The subframe is otherwise loose from the chassis so it's relatively free to move (the other bolts are just finger tight).
Also, I have EM1 front lower control arms. First of all, the clearance is no good and it rubs the subframe so I'll have to switch that out. But also, the bushing is too big, since the DC subframe takes a 12 bolt as opposed to a 14 so I need EG / DC LCA with the smaller front bushing.
My question is, can I use EG / DC front LCAs on an EK (with the DC subframe)?
Thanks

Re: Subframe Swap Help (DC to EK)
yes you NEED to run eg/dc front LCA's with your dc subframe. make sure you use the the eg/dc bolts to bolt up your subframe up..(they are different lengths compared to ek bolts). make sure you also put the right bolts in the the right holes. i have done a couple eg/dc subframes onto eks with no issue. lmk if you need any other info

Thanks, i'm picking up the LCAs and shock forks today.
I still can't get the bolt to line up. It fit fine on the passenger side of the car and I'm using the same bolt for the driver's side. It's not THAT far off and it even threads through the hole, but won't tighten all the way.

When stuff like that happens to me I back out the other bolts just enough, without removing them, to get the last bolt in. Just did something similar to an H-brace I installed on the hatch.
