stupid rusty sway bar end links.
I have a '00 Si and I'm working on installing some Energy Suspension rear sway bar bushings. The car is undergoing its second winter, and it turns out the nuts and bolts on the end links are really rusty.
For those of you unfamiliar with the design of the end links, you need to stick a 5mm allen wrench into the end of the bolt in order to keep it from moving while you wrench off the nut. Well, after working at it with some liquid wrench, I stripped out the inside of the end of the bolt. I got one end off with the aid of a vice grips and I'm working on the other side, but this sucks. I think I'm gonna need new end links, and I don't want to buy a whole new sway bar.
I'm guessing you can't change the bolts in the end links, so is there anywhere I can buy just new end links? Anyone just happen to have an extra set of un-rusted ones?
