Struts for Neuspeed Race
I need a set of shocks/struts for my Del Sol which has Neuspeed race springs on it. Koni yellows are too expensive, so I need something that will handle the 2" drop but is cheaper than the Koni yellows, any suggestions? This is a daily driven car, so I'm really just looking for something thats going to make the ride alot less harsh in terms of bumps.

Koni's are ideal, there are some selling them here for low to mid 300s used, and i would suggest going that way, AGX will handle them but they dont warranty below like a 1 inch drop, my friend had illuminas and they were ok, i would save and get it right the first time rather than having to replace blown shocks down the road.

Nice way to put it. But my low income high school salary, can't afford these. So
I'm just going to get KYB GR-2 shocks. They'll probably blow out really quick but I
need some bad.

Wow if I could pick em up for around $350 or so that'd be great. I was just looking at them new and I think they around $500 or so. Whats a good online place to find them new?

I have been running Neuspeed race and AGX's for 2 seasons now on my EG, car is a daily driver, auto-x car and Solo I/trackday car.
No problems at all with this combo.

How does it ride on the street, like in terms of the bumpiness, is it pretty rough or do you notice the shocks make the ride fairly smooth.

I ran Tolico Blues and stock in the rear for a couple months when I first got them, the switch to AGX's made a pretty big difference.
But...
These springs are stiff, you will lose the bounce with a better shock, but they still hit hard.

That would be my shocks. You'd need ITR or CRX LCAs for the rears, but they can be gotten for 100bucks new.
I've got 4 koni yellows, ~10k miles on them. Fronts are neuspeed Koni's (match the springs ), which have the 5 perches and a slightly shorter shaft. The rears are a solid single mount and internal adjust.
