Strange whirring noise
Hey, just got a 95 EX earlier this week, and took it into the shop to have a lot of crap replaced(just in case, I've bought a lot of cars in ill repair)-i.e. the timing belt, water pump, a few more belts and they did something to my alternator too. Before I took it into the shop, it DID make a little bit of a whirring noise, which grows to a louder whine when I rev it up higher. I only started revving it to VTEC when I got it back from the shop to test the stuff out, but I know that it made the slighter noise normally. I think it might have something to do with the pulleys, but I was wondering if any of you have experience with this and what do you think? The car has 121,000 miles and it's completely stock right now, if that helps any.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Too tight of a belt can make a whirring noise. The alternator can cause interference to the audio system under certain circumstances which causes a whirring noise.
A wheel bearing will make more noise in a turn, you could use that to help diagnose your problem.
If it's one of the pulley bearings you could get a long handle screw driver as a ghetto stethascope and CAREFULLY check all of the accessories for noise.
