Strange misfire 94 eg w/ Bard 94 B18c1
OK, First time posting, couldn't find any similar situations.
CAr is a 94 EG hatch vx with a Bar'd 94 b18c1
Motor is mostly stock, i/h/e
Running with stock p72
I have put 40k miles on the swap, have done a couple tune ups
when it started misfiring and has been fine.
The car is misfiring at cruising throttle around 1800-2500 rpms
At WOT the motor pulls just fine.
Last month it threw a cylinder 1 position sensor code so it has a brand new
Rich Porter TD 68u dizzy, brand new wires, and I put pre-gapped NGK iridium
plugs in it. It ran fine for a month, then started misfiring. I put a new set of plugs in it and it ran fine for 2 weeks, now misfiring again. WTF?!?!? Is it fouling plugs? Why? Most other cases of misfire at low rpms include the description of the motor falling flat on its face WOT. So again WTF?
Another quick rundown, misfire at cruising throttle 1800-2500 rpms in all gears,
fine WOT, plugs seem to temporarily fix the problem, new dizzy and wires.
So the question is, WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING IT TO FOUL PLUGS AND
MISFIRE EVERY 2 WEEKS.
Any suggestions would be helpful if you have experienced this problem help me out
