stock p28 in a b16a motor

Default stock p28 in a b16a motor

Am i getting robbed of power. i have a b16a and it is running a stock p28 computer which is the 1.6 sohc. I have the dohc. should i get this computer chipped?? or should i get a different ecu.

i was told it would be fine if i just chipped this one.
how will i check the cel???

If its a stock B16 run the P30 or PR3 ecu and nothing else.

Stock p28 will run the car, you will lose power due to different maps and such on it. Best bet and cheapest would be to send it to John Vega at http://www.phearable.net he can chip and socket it, thay way when you eventually do more mods put it on the dyno and tune.

it has intake header exhaust flywheel and gsr tranny..... what is the best bet???

chris harris has a mugen program chip and a kit you can put in the p28 to run a b16a for less than $40. my buddy runs it. he says it runs like a scalded dog compared to a stock p30. and tons of people on h-t will vouch for chris.

what chip is recommended for my car??? im sure anything will be better than the stock p28. dont want to blow my motor though
