Which Stock muffler is better?
ok, im trying to make a turbo b18b sleeper right? so i want an exhaust that has a inlet and outlet but i also want it to be quiet like stock cars. Which exhaust is good to use? I was thinking of using an IS 300 stock muffler, cut... weld it to make it fit my car. what do you guys think?

I would look into going with an aftermarket that looks pretty much stock or go with Ricey on the other idea, you just have to make sure everything is big enough for the turbo outlet.

2.5" es oval or magnaflow oval. They both look stock, but they aren't all that quiet. Another option for a quiet and stock look would be the rs*r ex mag exhaust...the only problem with that is that it probably would restrict your power a little if you have a turbo. I don't think they make it in 2.5" piping.

custom 2.5" exhaust w/resonator and a stock muffler of your choice. You have a turbo though, so using a restrictive exhaust is going to cost you a lot of power if you try to start building it up.
Turbo-ed motors with a street legal aftermarket exhausts are pretty quiet though anyway. My brother has a 240sx w/ a 3" exhaust going to a straight-through muffler. He just swapped an sr20det into it, keeping the same exhaust, and it is MUCH MUCH quieter than it was with the old NA motor.
Go to the FI Forum, I'm sure they'd have more answers for you there....
