Stock gsr swap into a 96 ek civic ??

Default Stock gsr swap into a 96 ek civic ??

Ok guys. I did everything that I needed to do for this swap from what I read on the forums. But recently my friend told me that I had to change the stock throttle gsr throttle body for a ls throttle body in order to run a vacuum into a Carbon canister that is soppose to be on the firewall of my car (which I dont have). He said that with out it my CEL will come on? I never heard of anything like that anywhere. He has a 96 civic with a gsr with a skunk2 IM. Would this Carbon canister be the canister I seen under the stock gsr IM? Please help.

No its the black thing on the firewall, bottom left. It looks like a black tube with hoses coming out of it. kinda below the fuel filter but left more.

No you don't have to change your throttle body. Its all drop in with minor changes to mounts and wiring.

i think that black tube is the charcoal can but i could be wrong

Yes, it is a charcoal canister. Sorry for the incorrect info. But do I need it in order for the CEL wont come on? And if I do get it, where do I connect it to? BTW, im going to run it with a chipped p28.

they are all vacuum lines, look where they go now and plan accordingly. eg's and dc's come with charcoal canisters so you should be strait.

i didint want to start a new forum but im doing the same swawp i ahve the motor in in the car, had a hell of time witht he mounts and now relized i need a new cluch line thats about 3 feet long, i'v never done this sawp befor and keep having all these little surprises.
can anyone help me out by telling me what other little usprise im going to have to deal with, so that i can buy the part in advance or at least be prepared for it.
