Try it. Maybe you might even break something along the way.

You have an econobox not meant for racing like you're trying to do.

Why do you want to hit the rev limiter in every gear?

your rev limiter is set to 7200, but your redline is at 6800 rpm. however, i do not recommend pushing past 5000 rpm on a regular basis. your engine is made for gas mileage. not racing. your engine wont last long acting like a ricer.

The Y7 is BY NO MEANS ment to be reved hard and treted like a b16 or b18(Vtec) mini will get you a little more HP. But i have a Y7 in my dd it's slow it was ment to get good MPG and last long if you don't beat the **** out of it like you'r wanting to.

accelerate to 80mph down shift to first release clutch. You should see well over 9k for a few seconds

This'll end badly. There's no real advice for modifying an N/A D16Y7 other than:
1) Build for lower compression, turbocharge and tune.
2) Swap the motor
3) Be an idiot and try to build it N/A
4) Get another car.

Seeing N/A Y7's try to race is like watching a snail or turtle shouting down a road.

Do yourself a favor and buy at a minimum a Chilton manual or download a copy of the Honda FSM for your car and read. We all have to start learning at some point. Also browse the FAQ section that will answer 95% of the questions you may have.

You can hit the rev limiter whenever you feel the need, Honda built this and a fuel cutoff into the ECU to help prevent damage, but as one or two members already pointed out this is not advisable on a stock D16Y7 engine regularly.

I want to apologize for the other members that contributed absolutely nothing to this thread. It's becoming a problem and you just have to weed through the BS responses on this forum nowadays....
