stereo problems

stereo problems
i wired all the wires up for my head unit an of coarse i made sure i hadthe key wires already wires red,yellow,an black my head unit keeps wantin to short out does anybody no how to run a manual wiring for th is. thanks

i dont really know what you said or are askin?, but if ur shorting out its because you didnt make a good connection. or you have a bad radio. are you using a wiring kit or did you hack off the original harness?

What type of stereo is it? I had a similar problem due to one of the speaker wires grounding and the stereo had an internal shut down mechanism. The easy way to test the unit is to take it out of the dash, hook the yellow and red wires directly to 12v and the black to ground. Utilize a spare speaker to make sure all is well and your getting output to the speaker. This should work on most models, however I've heard that some utilize the antenna wire as the ground for the head unit thought I've never seen it myself. If you 'bench' test it and still have issues contact the supplier you purchased it from.
