Steering wheel shaking while braking..
I'm now faced with another problem.. Steering wheel shakes when I brake, only at high speeds though, once i get down to like 30'ish the shimmering stops... I've changed wheel bearings, tie rods, brakes, now only thing i'm left thinking it might be is a warped rotor... What else may cause this..?? I was thinking maybe air in the brake lines, but it feels like im hitting tons of little speed bumps while its shaking an i didnt think air in lines would cause that much of a disturbance... Feedback plz..

Yeah rotors! Don't turn them, just get new ones!
PS the Chriogencally Frozen (SP?) rotors resist warpage. I think Power slot makes some.

you could have loose tie rods or other suspension or steering parts. that will cause vibration while braking, as well as clunking while going over uneven surface.
do you have power steering? steering rack could need to be rebuilt as well.
you can also try to tighten up the steering gearbox. its the big locknut thingy at the pinion, loosen that, and tighten the 12mm nut to spec. (not all the way)
but in general, you can have loose suspension, and then its kind of a chicken or the egg situation in relation to warped rotors, as to loose suspension causing your rotors to warp must faster, and vibration due to warped rotors causing your suspension to become loose....
replacing the rotors with new ones might alleviate the situation, but it may not fix the problem. seeing that you just replaced em 2-3 months ago... its a good guess that warped rotors might be the symptom and not the problem.

my dad has had this happen on 2 impalas from the factory. first day and these symptoms. so i guess its possible yours are already warped
(these are company cars, he hated the **** out of them, he did not get a impala by choice)

OP sorry don't mean to jack your thread.
can you go into a little more detail. my rears make this noise. the only thing i've done is a rear disc conversion. my shocks haven't blown yet. h&r race on stocks
