difference between jdm d16z6 vtec and jdm d15b vtec
which one should i get im just replacing the worn out d16z6 in my 95 civic ex, planning on a turbo too, but the jdm d15 is much cheaper, up to 300-400 cheaper, they say everything bolts right up and works with my computer, just want the better of the two motors, and what a good place to buy a jdm motor? thanks

They have similar peak power, but the Z6 has more torque. I believe the B has a slightly more agressive profile. I'm not sure how they would dyno back to back using a stock P28 ECU though.

I was in the same situation, bought a 95 civic Si that was previously boosted, so I popped in a JDM D15B for DD usage, with I/H/E and a chipped ECU (sold the turbo setup as I have another boosted honda). It hauls ***, great little motor!

Personally, I feel the D15B is noticebly faster in vtec over the Z6, and under I can't tell the difference between the two. I did the swap because living close to Toronto and Montreal, there are boat loads of JDM engine importers. So it was much easier/cheaper to get a clean JDM motor, than it was is to replace the Z6 with something of similar mileage/condition as a JDM motor.
