Steering Wheel Shakes Under Braking After Accident...
So my brother ran into a curb the other week and blew out his right front tire. We got a new wheel, 4 new tires, had an alignment done, and had all of the wheels balanced, and now the steering wheel shakes under braking and pulls to one side.
I'm assuming something in the suspension is broken or bent, I just need to know what to look for...control arms? tie rod? axle?
All input is appreciated. Thanks

If something was bent id think they would have seen it when they did the alignment, but its possible they missed something. Does it pull at all when your not braking? I was thinking that the vibration may be caused by a warped rotor, or the pads could even be cracked. Other than that I have no ideas.

Dustin, same thing happened with my 96 civic. I had an accident and now my car vibrates pretty badly, mostly when stopping. I checked my brakes the other day and they are getting pretty low so I bought some new oem pads and i'm going to replaced them sometime soon.
If its just when u brake its most likely just warped rotors.
On another note though my brother hit a curb with his civic and damaged the pass side suspension parts. It ended up being around $1600 to fit everything.
where did u get all this work done at?

2 of my friends did the same thing.
gayest thing about this is you cant find the part thats bent it is so hard to tell.
you cant just look at it and say oh damn its bent its off by so little that the eye cant pick it up.
check the sub frame to see if it got bent alittle.
both of my friends their sub frame got tweaked a bit and caused this shitty feeling under braking.

It might be the rotors but my best advise is to have a shop take a look at it. You can damage a lot from just hitting a curb

i would think if its shaking under breaking only... then your lookin at warped rotors.... means the rotors prob. got to hot when he was trying to break to not hit the curb... change the pads and rotors out clean the caliper slider pins up real nice and grease them like you grease ur monkey when ur tryin ta have butt sex...

my buddy did this in his element (while playing in the snow) and it bent the lower control arm. u couldnt really see it, but he replaced it and he also found the tie rod ( i think ill get him to come in here and give u the in depth) was fucked also.
