Steering wheel noise and play
I am looking to buy a 97 civic hatch dx and had a question i thought you guys could possibly answer. I know the car doesn't have PS, but the wheel seems to have play when sitting still and turning it left to right back and forth. I know it doesn't have play, cuz i can look at the wheels and they move with even the slightest touch of the steering wheel, but it just feels like it has play you know....is this normal? Also, when i am turning the wheel back to the right from the left and vise versa, it makes a slight clicking noise in the steering wheel. any i deas. Thanks

is the car stock, as far as suspension wise...i know when i did my shocks and coil overs and camber kit, before i had it aligned the steering wheel was all over the place...other than that it might just need an alignment

Re: (dividedas1)
yeah, the car is completly stock....this happens when it is sitting still. The alignment is fine on it.....i am really just wondering if the feel of the wheel is normal from anyone else who owns one.....
