starting problem on ek
I have a 2000 ek with stock d16y8, all basic bolt ons (+msd sci ignition), jr supercharger, and it appears to be very fussy when I try to start it under a specific condition. With the upgraded ignition, it seems to start on a dime 99% of the time, but if I turn the key and stop it before the engine starts (read fingers slipped off the key , happened twice), it doesn't want to start after that for a certain period of time, typically about half to a full day.
I mention the ignition only because it's involved in starting the car, I don't believe the issue is with the ignition at all. Also, the injectors are stock and my vafc2 does not inject extra fuel that low. I also brought this up because its symptomatic of the engine receiving too much fuel as if someone stepped on the gas when trying to start their car, but again I don't see it receiving extra fuel. If I let it sit, I'll try to start it again and it appears to struggle for a split second, but starts up fine and sounds healthy.
Any insight on possible problems?

Re: (cherroneballs)
I suppose I should have checked when I was having the problem, but I started it today, and even though it was rough getting there, it started so I let it sit and it seems fine for the time being. I'm wondering about my spark plugs though, and if they're handling the ignition setup fine... MSD sci ignition with blaster 2 coil, msd ignition wires, and denso iridium plugs.
Again, I'm not having a problem with them, but merely speculating. Any chance the iridium plugs are too hot for the boost? I'm running about 7 psi.
