Default starting the car in cold weather...

recently it's been getting colder where i live and i've noticed that in the morning when i fist start up the car it takes two long tries. the car is a 00 civic SI , and it still have the stock battery and i just purchased the car so i don't know if the've replaced any electrical parts that might be related to the problem, it also does it sometimes in the middle of the day too.

Try turning the key to the "on" position and letting it prime before you try to turn it over. You may be in need of a battery and fuel filter or something along those lines. Nothing major, to be sure
