squiggly tach at high rpm only
I've had a 95 Del Sol VTEC (B16 engine) for about a year now. It's in perfect working order except for the stock gauge cluster tachometer.
Once I get close to 6500rpm, it gets very loose, starts waving around, and eventually drops to pointing straight down. The readout would be around 10k rpm, but I haven't even hit the rev limiter yet (yes, the limiter works, i checked). There is no jiggle when i'm at low rpms and idle. It's responsive and solid there. The car is stock except for a warm air intake.
Any ideas on what could be causing it and how I might go about fixing?
Thanks in advance!
