Squeaky clutch pedal - where to grease?
The topic says it all. Is there a spot at which we need to lube now and then or should I go ahead and try to locate the exact source?

I'm a dolt... only searched this forum.

Spots to try:
1. Point where pedal and MC piston meet.
2. SC piston.
3. Throwout bearing.
Some say WD40, some say brake grease, some say urea. Since I have brake grease, I'll try that. If it is the TOB, which I could have sworn I used urea on when I had the tranny out a couple months ago, I'm going to have to find a way to finagle a way to get that stuff in there (I'm guessing on the end of a screwdriver).

I have a 2001 Civic LX with 218,000 miles on it. After several years of frustration trying to figure out where the annoying creak was coming from when I let out the clutch (not pushed it in), I realized yesterday that the under dash panel (ironically, the one that's supposed to damp the noise from the pedals) was being rubbed by the side of the clutch pedal arm. The clutch was rubbing up against the side of the panel's cutout. It sounds like a wet boot heel on the clutch pedal. So the panel that's meant to get rid of noise was actually causing a whole lot of noise. I took the panel out and the creak immediately went away. I wonder how many people have spent money replacing parts and having unnecessary work done, assuming the clutch was the problem.
