Squeaking with brake release on '96 Civic EX Sedan.
Hello again.
I also wanted to mention that in my '96 Civic EX Sedan, usually when I have the handbrake engaged while stopped, there is a squeaking noise (sounds like it's from the back drums?) when I release the handbrake. Occasionally this also happens when I release the footbrake from a stop. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Thanks,
Wesley

mine did that until I changed the shoes. Probably just needs to be greased under the shoe contact points, but if youre going to take it apart might as well change them.

Just need to grease the backing plate contact spots. My moms jeep did the same thing until i got off my duff and cleaned it and lubricated it.
