Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (TURSpoonEK)
because..a b16b is not a b16a. a b16b block is virtually a destroked b18c block.
b16b and b16a blocks are not the same
and fyi: you could find a 1.8 block for cheaper then all the drama of stroking a b16a to 1.8.

Buying a SPOON balanced B18C-R short block may save u a bit hassle on installing the stroker kit. And a better idea if there is no experienced technician in your area.
They used to make B16A 1800cc kit but it has discontinued long time ago. I think TODA & JUN are the companies that still offering 1800cc kit for B16A.
For further info u can go to http://www.aj-racing.com http://www.ipsracing.com or http://www.randdmotorsports.com

Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (TURSpoonEK)
So basically no one answered his basic question of will it work in a b16a block.
BTW it is not easy to find gsr short blocks. I think I would rather spend $1700, and buy a type R short block from Acura.
Looks like I failed to answer the initial question as well...

Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (b20bastard)
i dont know much about the b16 and i have 2 questions. will a b18 block bolt up the b16a head with no modifications? and is head for the b16b the same as the head for the b18c5?

Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (TURSpoonEK)
not sure about the spoon one but i have the toda stroker kit in my ek. I was not happy with it at first until we installed the hondata. Going from stock ecu to the hondata made a world of difference with my settup. If i was starting from scratch with no motor this would not be the way that i would go but if you have a b16 and would like major gains NA then i would stroke it again.(that didn't sound to good)

Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (euclid)
My friend did compare both of the head and he said there is minor difference except the intake cams. So does the ITR & CTR intake manifold.

i think all b series parts are interchangeable...and if u compare a b16b block and b16a block. they are totally different...i asked this question a long while back. b16b and b18c5 are near identical if not identical in terms of block

Re: spoon stroker kit for b16b (TURSpoonEK)
here is the answer you have been looking for.
NO. it will not fit into a B16A. Would not bother machining it either. waste of time. find yourself a B18 or better still keep the B16 and put some EK9 pistons or Toda pistons on it to raise compression
