Default Speedometer problem

I have an ex gauge cluster in my car and recently the speedometer started acting funny. It would randomly go to 0 when I was driving and then pop back up to normal speed a minute or so later. So I put my stock dx gauge cluster (no tach) back in and the speedometer works perfectly fine now. My question is, will it work if I swap out the speedometer from my dx cluster to my ex cluster? I wanted to get some input before I start cracking open these gauge clusters.

Yes, it's a direct swap. Remove the four screws behind the speedo gauge and swap it over. You'll also retain your mileage this way.
