Speakers 96 Civic LX
Hello all,
Still a fair amount of snow here.
My question is regarding what to put in as replacement speakers (or if they are needed at all).
I have just changed the deck in the car to a Pioneer deck that outputs at 50 WRMS and I had the volume up to 10 (still not loud, but loud enough to block out road noise completely) and the back speakers started to rattle.
From my digging I have discovered that the rear speakers at 6x9's and the fronts are 6x6.... is this correct?
I'm looking for a good full sounding speaker that have enough lump to enjoy. I'm not a sound junky but would like to be able to have some fun. I would also like to keep the stock wiring. Cost is an issue.
Thank you all for your time and knowledge.

Just get you some pioneers to go with it. and the harness. i think you always have to customize it with new speakers.

Personally, I think pioneer speaks sound like poo. I'd go with some Infinity Kappa's or something, and Circuit City sells speaker harness addapters for like 10 bucks a pair to keep your factory wiring plugs.

I just put new Pioneer's in my Civic DX, and I must say, they are a great sounding speaker.
The front speakers are 6.5", while the back ones are 6x9. Mine are two way speakers up front, while the ones in the back are three ways. Either way, the wire up extremely easy and sound great. Lots of bass with no distortion.
