spare cover in trunk....
The dang cardboard cover on the spare in the trunk is broke.
Should i make it out of a sheet of plexiglass or aluminum? anyone ever do this?

I replaced mine with a sheet of 1/2" plywood. I cut it to fit the whole floor and then cut it across the back so there is a 10" piece right behind the seats where my sub box sits. I then attached the other piece with some hinges. Now, the whole thing can swing up without taking out the box.

Unless you get thick aluminum it's going to bow on you. Plexie glass is more ridged when covering that spare tire well.
I'd stay away from the aluminum.
