Default Someone Please Help Me...

Ive already wasted 500 bucks on tuning and my car still isnt making power like it should (140whp at 3 psi's )

motor- Turbo D16z6

for some reason theres not enough oil pressure to make vtec work so the tuner didnt want to tune it with out it working
it works electronically but not mech.
i put in a new OEM oil pump so that cant be it, I think the metal oil jet thing that connects the block tot he head is missing so im not sure, i gotta take the head off and check

could it be the oil pump filter?

any ideas?

if you could can you give me a step by step list of how oil pressure is built so i can check off what i need to?

thanks a lot i really appreaciate it

So what your trying to say is that you got ripped off by a tuner. Your car doesnt havent enough oil pressure to hit Vtec. You dont know why?

There are many reasons for low oil pressure. First off you need to make sure thats actually the problem. Do you have an oil pressure gauge? If not get one. Are you throwing any CELs?

nah it was built by me and my cousin, the tuner just figured out all the problems for me to fix before i can really tune it.

and yes i dont know why theres not enough pressure, i think it might be the oil jet that is missing that connects from the block to the head but not sure, im going to take the head off this weekend to check

tomorrow im going to install my gauge, ive been lagging cause the harness didnt come with it so i got to hard wire it but need to know the diagram before doing it

its a autometer phatom gauge anyone have a pic of how to wire it? thanks

Maybe this is off topic, but exactly how much whp were you expecting out of 3psi?

well the tuner wouldnt bring it up anymore, but he said it should be more

his last setup he did with a d-motor hit 350whp not sure what psi tho (think it was 18)
