Someone know how to do this?
Is there a way where when I turn on my headlights I can have my turn signals off but on only when I'm using the turn signal? Its for a 96-98 Honda Civic. I've seen them done but would like some detailed info or websites.

yeh---cut one of the wires--there only three wires going to the bulb i believe---well that really dont matter---what you do is turn your head lights on and take a multimeter and see which wire out two or three is hot---12V---then turn your head lights off and turn on your signals---tapped into one of the wires and which ever one is hot or that blinks a 12V this the wire you want to keep---cut the one thats live when and only when your headlights are on---let me know if this helps
i did this on my del sol before---this is what you call straight up clear corners.

I did that when I blew a fuse. Blew out my tail lights, turn signals, and interior lights. Only time the tail lights and turn signals worked was when i braked or used the turn signal.
ha ha, sorry that doesn't help much

Yup you are correct. There should be 3 wires leading to your turn signal bulb. 1 being a red wire which is the live wire, 1 being a black wire which is the ground, and the other wire which in my case was blue being the constint wire. You just snip the constint wire, and that will enable you to have only your head lights come on, and still be able to signal.

Re: Someone know how to do this? (2NR)
so I'm supposted to do this where the blub housing is located? Cant I just pull the wire out so I can use it again if I ever decide to put it back? I wont get shocked right?
**EDIT** I found the wires but there pretty far. I can barely see it. I'm worried that if I do cut it that I cant put it back. Is there any other places these wires run too so it will be easier to put it back if I decided to put it back?

all you have to do is remove some of the tabs that hold your fender lining on, then you can reach your hand in and unscrew the bulb and now you will have access to the plug and you can pull the blue wire out of the plug or snip it, i would remove it cause it makes it a lot cleaner if you change your mind. later

anybody know how to make the corners light up when you turn on your running lights, then only come on as turn signals when you've got your headlights on??

ok, now that you have heard the, in my opinion, ghetto way to do it.
here is how i did it, the running lights come on on the first click, then go off on the 2nd click when the headlights come on.
supplies:
electrical tape
5 pin relay
spade connectors
wire (14 or 16 AWG)
2 Silicon switching diodes (can be had at rat shack part no. 1n914 i think)
inline connectors
1. take your constant wire (mentioned as being blue earlier) and cut it, leave enough wire on the socket to work with.
2. add a small piece of wire to the constant wire and add a spade connector to the end of it.
3. cut a small piece of wire and crimp a spade connector to the end of it.
4. use the inline connectors to connect a small wire on to each of the low and high beam wires of the head lights and add 1 diode to each of these wires then a short piece of wire then connect these 2 wires together and add a spade connector(you should have wire-diode-wire) tape over this.
5. add a small piece of wire to the other side of the constant wire (socket side) with a spade connector at the end.
6. take the constant wire and connect it to the blade labelled "30"; socked side to "87a"; headlights to "85" and ground "86" to the frame
this is how i did it and it works great; you may be able to get the relay at rat shack too, but i wasn't able to find one.
you may also find one with a socket which will make it much easier.
hope you can make it work right
