hey guys i know i saw on here before a diy write up with pictures on how to wrap your door armrests in vinyl. i can't seem to find it ANYWHERE!
actually my real question is after cutting off the plastic rivets on the panel, how does one go about reattaching the peices?
thanks very much!

but from the way it looks, it looks like after you cut off the plastic rivet you are left with a hollow cylinder.

Lots of pictures, no real explanation, though from the pictures you can get a good idea of what to do.
What rivets are you cutting off?

not technically a "rivet" but its how all the plastic peices of the door panel are held together. they are hollow plastic cylinders which are melted after the peices are put together.
see that first pic of that link you sent: see all the holes..... yah thats where the plastic "rivets" used to be
thanks for the link, i'll try to get in contact with the dude

nice, down that post there is a reply with a link to another person's diy on it. and they get talking about how to put it back together. washers and self tapping screws that are large enough and short enough(i could just cut em tho if too long) to screw into the plastic cylinder things
