Somebody with an EM1, need your help
Ok, here's the deal. Had a built B16A2 and going all back to stock. Everything is in the car again and everything is where it should be.
ONE problem. I have a hose that has no home. It's coming off the bottom of the IAC valve.
Many many years ago I did the TB bypass thing to try to cool the throttle body down a few degrees. Everything has been in pieces for about 2 years now and I can't for the life of me remember where all the hoses from the throttle body, IAC and the thermostat housing go. Got a Honda factory service manual, but for some reason the pics in there don't line up with my engine. There are extra hoses and posrts pictured.
So if somebody could go out to their EM1 and snap pictures of every possible angle of every square inch under their IM, back of the block, throttle body, IAC, etc, I'd be grateful.

Re: Somebody with an EM1, need your help
Ok, I'm down to just trying to find somebody to look at their EM1, check where the hose that comes off the forward facing port at the bottom of the throttle body goes. I'm asking this because the diagram in the factory service manual is WRONG.
Anybody?

Re: Somebody with an EM1, need your help
Great! Thank you.
Now I'm back to square one.
That totally screws up what I had thought I had right.
If you don't mind, could you take a look to see where the hose that comes off the 3rd connection on the thermostat housing goes?
It's circled in red on this diagram
I notice that you're no longer running the hard lines that used to connect the valve cover to the intake, just like me. Your valve cover vent (where you have that breather filter) used to do to the intake (where you have that vacuum plug).
That hard line used to have another one welded to it that the hose in question used to hook to. Curious to see what you did with yours.
Thanks a ton in advance.

Yeah the intake was on there when I got it so I don't know exactly what the previous owner did. He has a coupling of some sort joining the tb hose to the block. I'll post more pics in a min whenever I get back to my pc

I dont know what the hard line originally looked like to pick it out or where else it is coming from. Is it better to have the breather or to connect it all back together?

Thanks for those pics. Hard to see what is going on there while checking them on my phone. Going to have to wait to get home. As far as that breather filter, the way you have it is fine. All that hose used to do was take the vapors from under your valve cover and sucked them back into your intake where they could get burned again. People used to say that these vapors used to lower the octane level of your air-fuel mix. Not sure about that. I do know that I used to get some nasty oily stuff in my throttle body before I pulled that hose off. Less oily gunk in your intake mani is good if you ask me.

Re: Somebody with an EM1, need your help
Issue resolved. Turns out that the JDM B16's thermostat housing has 3 ports on it, one of them being the mystery hose. The USDM one doesn't have this. On the JDM one this extra port/hose used to feed the FITV, which the USDM B16A2 doesn't have.
Still kind of boggled why the Helms manual I have, as well as every diagram that had been posted shows this 3rd port on the thermostat housing.
