Okay, there are lots of different models. Are you looking for just the US versions or what?

For 6th gen US trims there are:

Coupes:
DX - D16Y7 - EJ6
HX - D16Y5 - EJ7
EX - D16Y8 - EJ8
Si - B16A2 - EM1

Hatches:
CX - D16Y7 - EJ6
DX - D16Y7 - EJ6

Sedans:
DX - D16Y7 - EJ6
LX - D16Y7 - EJ6
EX - D16Y8 - EJ8
GX - D16B5 - EN1

So no US model is *actually* an EK. "EK" is a common term used to just mean "6th gen Civic" though, but I've found it easier to just call them 6Gs (then no one will point out that you don't really have an EK, etc). 6G USDM Civics are actually all EJs, EMs, and ENs. But EJs also refer to some 5Gs, EMs also refer to some 7Gs, and ENs also refer to some 7Gs. teh full three-digit chassis code is not the same for cars of different generations though. All the above chassis codes are just for 6G cars.

And these are all the 6G chassis codes I have. Some info might not be correct... it's kind of difficult to find all of this info and verify it.

EJ5 - D16A - XXX - Civic ?
EJ5 - D15Z - XXX - Civic sedan 1.5L
EJ6 - D16Y7 - USDM - Civic CX 3d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - USDM - Civic DX 2d/3d/4d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - USDM - Civic DX-V 2d/3d/4d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - USDM - Civic LX 2d/3d/4d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - CAN - Civic CX/CX-G 2d/3d/4d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - CAN - Civic DX/DX-G 2d/3d/4d
EJ6 - D16Y7 - CAN - Civic EX/LX
EJ6 - D16Y7 - CAN - Civic SE 2d/3d/4d
EJ7 - D16Y5 - USDM - Civic HX coupe
EJ7 - D16A - JDM - Civic coupe
EJ8 - D16Y8 - USDM - Civic EX coupe/sedan
EJ8 - D16Y8 - CAN - Civic Si coupe
EJ9 - D14A4 - EDM/JDM - Civic hatch/Ferio
EK1 - XXXX - XXX - Civic hatch (auto)
EK2 - D13B - JDM - Civic EL hatch/Ferio
EK3 - D13B/D15B - EDM/JDM - Civic ML LEV 3d/Ferio
EK3 - D15B - EDM/JDM - Civic VTi/Ri 3d/Ferio
EK4 - B16A - JDM - Civic SiR hatch/Ferio
EK4 - B16A - EDM - Civic VTi hatch
EK5 - D16A - JDM - Civic RTi Ferio 4WD
EK6 - B16A - XXX - Civic hatch
EK7 - XXXX - XXX - Civic hatch
EK8 - D16A - JDM - Civic LEV sedan
EK9 - B16B - EDM - Civic Type Rhatch
EK9 - B16B - JDM - Civic Type R hatch
EM1 - B16A2 - USDM - Civic Si coupe

Also, Honda makes a fueling pump for your house that hooks up to your natural gas supply. Imagine being able to fuel up your car and just get a monthly bill instead of having to drive to the gas station and fill up out of pocket.

do the cars have rust issues? cuz the stuff they put in natural gas to make it smell burns off and leaves a white powder thats corrosive. Ive seen alot of furnaces go bad becasue people dont get them cleaned so it rusts them out.

The GX had a completely different fuel delivery system than the other trims.

I think they were all first leased to Los Angeles and some other government establishments throughout the US. Now you can even find them routinely on eBay being sold by private parties.

There has been a Civic GX model since the year 1998 on.

Here's the 8th gen Civic GX page:
http://automobiles.honda.com/m...x.com

They're similar to the LX sedans. The first one, built in '96 was actually a modified LX sedan.

It's a CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicle. It can't run off regular gasoline.

I have heard of people modifying the motors on here though. but then again, the cars those go into have completely fdifferent fuel systems too.

A couple for sale right now:

Up for auction is a beautifully, well-maintained 2004 CNG Honda Civic GX Natural Gas vehicle that is uniquely equipped with a clean burning fuel system (Compressed Natural Gas) that enables you to save substantially at the pumps (almost half the cost of gasoline) while producing lesser emissions & pollutants to the environment. In addition, owning a Clean Burning Fuel Vehicle such as this one has many other upsides & advantages including: increased longevity on the car; access to the HOV (carpool lane) with a single occupant (check with your respective states laws); engine components remain a lot cleaner with a clean burning fuel, thus the cost of maintenance is a lot cheaper; state & federal tax incentives (check with your states air resources board); higher octane rating; better fuel efficiency in comparison to standard gasoline vehicles; and much more. To access and locate exact locations of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fuel stations within your locale, you can visit the following links for CNG fueling stations:

There are 146 refueling stations in Southern California:

This unique CNG Honda Civic was previously owned by Honda Motor Company. The vehicle is nicely equipped with many packages and offers the following equipment: automatic transmission with overdrive, full power including power windows, power door locks, cruise, tilt, power mirrors, AM/FM stereo with CD player, front and side air bags air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and much more. Because this is the cleanest car on the market today (Honda Motor Corp. stands by this), it is qualified for many incentives including access to the HOV lane in California and various other states that offer incentives for alternative fuel vehicles. This vehicle is rated as a SULEV (Supre Ultra Low Emission Vehicle). The vehicle has a tank capacity of 7-8 gasoline-equivalent gallons rated at 3600 psi (the maximum pressure) which translates into a range of roughly 200-220 miles on a full tank. Mechanically, the engine and transmission are in sound condition with no known mechanical problems. Cosmetically, the interior has been properly maintained in good condition.

All of our vehicles are thoroughly inspected to ensure that everything is in good working order. All the fluids, filters and brake pads are inspected and addressed accordingly to ensure a safe and quality vehicle for our customers. In addition, all of our vehicles pass rigorous California Emissions Smog, thus assuring our customers that the vehicle they're purchasing is not a gross polluter. We encourage all potential buyers to come and inspect the vehicles they're interested in acquiring and welcome arrangements for a third-party independent mechanic inspection. We have provided detailed pictures of the vehicle to provide an accurate and comprehensive description of the vehicle and we have to the best of our abilities, described the vehicle to its fullest representation.
