Sol swap requires different mounts?
My D16Z6 is goin' soon for a B16'er, called Hasport twice in two different weeks and talked to two different staffers just to be sure of what I needed. They said I needed their EGRB (EG chassis rear bracket- shorter to accomodate the wider B16) and the EGLTB (EG chassis lower tranny bracket which is allegedly just a crash mount but necessary none the less). Sound right to all the experts out there?
P.S. Don't waste your time posting a "B16? Get a B18... blah blah" - I don't want to hear it. The One Six is perfect for what I want to do.
P.P.S. I did search.

Re: Sol swap requires different mounts? (CaptivaBlue)
I know that when I got my B16 swapped that the trans mount had to be welded to my frame, but those were the stock jdm b16 mounts. As far as I know it was just the trans mount and not the rear. Hope that helps...

use the same mounts you would on a civic. Same thing. I've done enough swaps in both my sols that I would NEVER question it.

Any others, the Hasport folks sounded like it was all something I could do with 10 minutes and a few tools (with the engine out of course).

Re: Sol swap requires different mounts? (CaptivaBlue)
as stated above. it requires all the same mounts as a 92-95 civic b series swap does. or if u can find mounts from a del sol vtec that'll work just as fine. id also go to a dealer and order the shift linkage for the del sol vtec. it was basically meant for this, i know my friend did and it saved us from having to fabricate anything for it.
