Smoke Everywhere
Im about to trade my 96 single cam hatch for a 94 bubble with a gsr engine. Im not thinking twice about the trade because the car is clean. The only problem is that the engine smokes like crazy and the engine idles bad... to me it just feels like this thing has been raced several times. Any suggestions? And how do I stop it from smoking so much.

Re: (Midori Green)
like the guy before stated .... it would be your piston rings, it could be alot of other things as well , such as valve seals , headgasket.... you could never be for sure its piston rings ...

the least of your worries would be the piston rings
the bad thing might be that the block is cracked and coolent is getting into the piston wall. what color smoke is coming out of the car?

well i dont really know if the trade would be fair, if his motor is shot then i would say not unless its an easy fix, i would ask him what he did to it and see if you can find out whats wrong with it before you trade.
