sluggish del sol---help
I have an " Automatic " 1994 Del SOl that's getting sluggish. Recently tested the 0-60 clock and came up with a lousy 11 seconds. Any way to improve it besides a tune-up,tire ck,etc. I did all the standard stuff. bjm01843

turbo it

or you can buy a nice d-series kit for relatively cheap. run B&M trickshift tranny fluid and a fluid cooler and your auto will hold up to it will some low boost.
OR
maybe some bolt ons....
a 5 spd trans would make it a little more enjoyable to drive as well

Gonna be hard my friend.. Unfortunately D series automatics just aren't geared for maximum accellaration, so you're going to be limited to minimal gaings per dollar unless you start making some large changes..
