Slim fan wiring question.
Hey my old radiator started to leak, so i got a new one. And i got a slim fan ( Maradyne) because i wanted to upgrade.
The plugs are different on the fan, but with the new fan i got they gave me a female connector so i can, cut out the old factory one and put this one in its place.
The NEW female connector they gave me has a few inches of wiring on it to make it easier to install. Heres the question. The wiring on the NEW female connector is a little bit thicker than the OEM harness wire. Should i be fine soldering the wires together? Or do the wires have to be the same thickness.

Re: Slim fan wiring question.
If the new wire is a heavier gauge than the original you should be fine as long as the wire material is the same. In example, both old and new wire is copper. Don't mix silver wire with copper wire.
If you mix materials you run into problems, and if the new wire is a lesser gauge than the old connecting wire, you will run into problems.
Also, make sure you solder, don't use crimps.
And it's a good idea to use heat shrink to seal it up.
I hope that clarifies things for you.
