Default Slight gap between axle - tranny = Bad? Pics Inside!!

I'm putting my axles back into my tranny and I've pushed them in as much as I can I believe. But I have a tiny gap between the transmission - axles. I'm not sure if it's ok or not seeing as this is my first time doing this. So any insight would be helpful. Thanks! (Click on them to make them bigger)

That looks all the way in Does it come out easily? If it just slides back out easily it didnt click in. It should take force to pull back out.

Ya it should snap in cuz there is a lock ring on the tranny side off the axle spines, if it comes out easy then its not completely in

Ok so I started her up today, and drove her around a little but not hard at all (cause I'm missing the top tranny mount) and I got no leaks... hopefully everythings A-OK
