when i press my clutch, it feels like i have to push it all the way to get it to take effect. I'm pretty sure it might be my slave cylinder so my question is how do you bleed the slave cylinder? What type of oil should i use? can you show me with pictures how to bleed it? I also think that i'll change the rotors and pads in the near future, so would it require the same procedure to bleed the brakes?

OEM oil is good enough! although i can't find a DIY on bleeding for you at this stage

I really want to learn how to do it myself so i wont have to bother my mechanic every week and on top of that, i want to save some money. well, if you find a link or something on how to bleed the slave cylinder on a d16z6 manual transmission, i would really appreciate it

just open your clutch resvoir tank and have someone else there because you will need them. Have one person pump the clutch by pressing(and pulling back up with hands) on the clutch peddle after 5-8 pumps keep the pressure and leave the clutch peddle down. Then who ever isn't on the peddle can loosen the bleeder screw located on the end of the slave cylinder. After the clutch fluid flys out tighten it back and repeat the pumping and bleeding step like 6-8 times until u have pressure. Keep on adding fluid if u need to. Good Luck!!!! Its not too hard

You might also have a bad clutch master cylinder. Check for fluid leak near the top of the clutch pedal and around the slave cylinder. Replace leaking parts. Fill the clutch master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid.
