anyone running these?

went to a shop recently, and they said that these coilovers blow out easily. don't know if they said that because they were promoting buddyclubs or they were being honest.
just looking for second opinions, since there is a good deal for them from jhpusa. also they seem like great coilovers and skunk2 is reputable.

any pro series coilovers are great in my opinion. i have pro s's in my eg and i have no complaints...the rides nice and i take serious corners at 60-70 and your glued to the seat

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
I used to have their dual-bend shifter and ****, which are really high quality products. If the coilovers are made that well, I am completely sold.

I have pro c's on my eg as well as their lower control arms, upper control arms, lower arm bar, and strut braces. I also put energy bushings in. The only problems that I have had is from the bushing being too stiff. All the rest of the susp. feels good thow otherwise. I am happy.

I actually just ordered the coilovers a couple days ago from JHPUSA. According to UPS, they'll arrive tomorrow.

A few friends of mine ran the SKUNK2 coilovers and are pretty disatisfied with them. They are very bouncy in my opinion.

Skunk2 is a company that should stick to camshafts and valve springs.

I Like Hondas:
I just got them installed today at The Shop in San Bruno (http://theshopsanbruno.com). I didn't really get to drive on them much, just from the shop to home, which was mostly freeway. Dampening is set at 7 clicks all around.

First impressions:
- A little bouncy, like 97Ej6mike said, but that just might be me since I'm not used to riding on stiff suspension. My last car was a DA sporting Eibach Sportlines and Tokico blues. So riding on stiffer suspension is new for me.
- Going over rough roads felt smoother than I thought it would feel, especially at 7. Just a little harsher than stock, but definitely not bone jarring.
- Love the drop. I have the wheels at the fenders, with barely any gap. Hopefully I won't have to raise it, since I do some occasional driving in the city.

I will be playing with the dampening settings this week, and I will provide some feedback to this post.

I installed my PRO-C's on Monday. The adjustability to these coilovers are insane. You are getting the real deal!

What did the shop set your spring preload to? Did they just snug up the lower spring perch so that the spring doesn't flop around, or did they preload the spring a few millimeters. On my setup, the front is preloaded 2 mm, rear is preloaded 15mm. This means that once the lower spring collar touches the spring, I have to further tighten the lower spring coller, therefore compressing/preloading the spring.

I had to preload the rear spring quite a bit in order to acheive the desired rear ride height, otherwise, the lower strut housing adjustment would have exceeded the allowable limit set by skunk2 (the limit being the hole that's drilled into the lower strut housing).

I too have to tweak my suspension settings. My ride height is just about the same as yours, maybe slightly lower. My ride is "bouncy" at certain spots on the highway, but that's to be expected with a stiff spring rates. Once I find street setting that I'm happy with, then it'll be time for an alignment. [Get an alignment done if you haven't already!]

I should also note that before, all I had was Neuspeed Race springs on stock struts. This setup rode quite nice for the street, but sucked at the autoX. Plus, the car was too low for MN roads. Also have Energy Suspension full bushing kit installed, expect for the steering rack bushings, still need to put those in, but going to be tight with H22 in the engine bay. Also, replaced the rear trailing arm bushing with poly, huge improvement for the rear suspension. Otherwise, no sway bars or other chassis stiffening bars/rods installed.
