Default single cam into si

I just aquired a si shell and i am thinking of putting a single cam in it for the moment. i can get a whole swap out of a 97 civic. My question is, can i use the 97 civic harness and ecu?

it's already got b-series mounts, throw an Ls in there.

To put a d-series in you'd have to change the mounts a little.

Ls's are a dime a dozen and cooler than b16's.

LS's are very underated. A built LS\VTEC motor is pretty beastly becuase the LS motors have a deeper stroke, therefore it has a torquy low end, and when built with VTEC, will pull hard at the high end as well. LS motors put out more TRQ #'s at the low end than GSR motors do (stock), but obviously GSR's have the high ground in the end because of VTEC. I has to do with Bore size, and stroke. The GSR motors have a wider bore and less of a stroke for high reving and VTEC, but LS motors have a lesser bore, but a deeper stroke, to produce a torqy low end, but with a weaker high end. A built LS\VTEC motor, when done right, can be powerful.

Both blocks have exactly the same bore.

sounds like you dont have a harness in your car cirrrentley, it says you want to buy a 99 si harness, so if you can just getit to move etc to get the code enforcement off ur *** (like in my city lol) i say go for it then sell the swap and upgrade if you want or sell it or w/e you want to do,

but yea the harness, the mounts, the ecu from the donor civic
