Default CIVIC HELP

hey guy i have a 99 civic si and was wondering if i can put a 97 singal cam non vtec motor in it with 97 harness and 97 singal cam ecu. and no engine light comes on . thanks.

wait, read your own post. Do you have a 1999 civic si? do ou know what motor that is? Why would you ever do a swap like that??

haha just got a free shell eh? yea you can do it but you need the d series mounts not that your si will likely have mounts in it, the trans and ecu form the d16y7, and axels, did your shell come with the harness? if not great just grab the one from the lx/dx


my freind and i threw a d15b7 in an integra once

made a lil bit -o-money on that one

yea i know what i am talking about. its just because i am going to put a obd2a in a obd2b shell and wasnt sure if it will work. and i didnt get the shell for free i nver said that.

A 99 si with a single cam and then a non-vtec wow that's crazy but anything is possible. bump for some different stuff
