Simple way to reduce stiff motor mount vibration/shaking
If you have stiff motor mounts, the vibration and shaking usually go hand in hand along with that. I just got the swap done, and i bought a sheet of dynamat to cover up the shift linkage hole.
Now, before I had the dynamat on there, the whole car shakes to the point where its hard to see out of your driver side mirror, the hatch rattled, and i got noise from i dont know where. After I put the sheet under the car for the shift linkage, I noticed the vibration went down some. So I decided what could it hurt? and I put some dynamat on my motor mounts, not a lot. maybe just a 2"X3.5" square on each mount; on the part that surrounds the bushing. It makes a WORLD of difference. the car feels stock now (except at WOT) =P
Just wanted to know if this has been tried before, and if not, i reccomend doing it if the vibration annoys you. so you wont feel like your car is rattling apart anymore.
Cliff notes: dynamat on stiff motor mounts makes your car shake less.
