Si tranny on a d15b7 = how much better it is ? 70mph RPM ?
I am just wondering if putting an Si tranny on my d15b7 would be worth it until I get the b18b in...(within 1 yr.). Anyone did this mod. ? Any E.T. ? How much rpm @ 70 mph ?
Thanks !

for comparison purposes, i will be the "stock d15b7"... then someone else be the "stock d16z6"... right?
so at 70mph, i'm running at 2500rpm, with my foot off of the throttle...
its your turn, "stock d16z6"...

I have a 95 ex tranny on a stock 95 cx. It's great! @ 90 mph, the motor is at 4k in 5th. It hits the rev limiter at 6200. Doing a normal speed on the highway (60-75mph) gets good gas mileage. I think #1 upgrade for any d series.

the trans from the z6 or y8 are def a big improvement over the stock cx,vx, or even dx trans
def helps acceleration, hell could even give the cx a little "pep" lmao

Re: (coptzer)
so here we go, z6 tranny or y8 tranny...
i want the final drive of the z6, but the shifter fork of the y8
(z6 has higher final drive, y8 has steel not aluminum shifter fork, right?)

Re: (92CIVICCX)
the si tranny is a direct bolt up, no need for different axles.
As far as identifying it (to answer my own question), look for a B000 = si A000= dx, cx etc. The B000 will be on a bolt/plug.
