si intake manifold w/EGR for B18B?
I need to lower NOX and HC and i've changed cat and o2. I have a '95 civic with a B18B and so I don't have an EGR valve. I was told i should get a 2000 si intake manifold with the EGR valve. This way my car could have EGR to lower my emissions. Does this sound like this would work?

I have seen Integras with EGR valves. And they were ALWAYS automatic. I'm not sure whether they were 1994-2001, though. They were probably 1990-1993. Now this manifold WOULD work. But there is one thing you need to keep in mind. And that is the fact that your car will probably fail the visual inspection with an EGR valve. It was not meant to be there on that motor. You REALLY need to troubleshoot your motor to see what is causing it to have high emissions.

Only 90-93 b18a1s w/automatics had the EGRs.
Any newer b18 did not have it, as well as no 5spd that I've ever seen.
You would need the control box for the EGR if you want it to work properly.
But I agree, you should just make your motor work correctly before downgrading to an EGR equipped manifold.

Re: (Danronian)
Ok so 90-93 auto. would have it.
Yea they could catch it but i've been a bunch of times and now i just have the smog part to pass so they might not pay close attention to the inspection.
Believe me I have trouble shooted like crazy... 3 different cats, decarbonized, new o2 sensor, fuel filter, checked timing, valve spacing, new spark plugs and new oil. If there is anything left to trouble shoot let me know so i can see if it could be a problem.
I don't know a lot about EGR yet... so were is the control box located?
Thanks for the help
