98-01 B18B Intake manifold questions! please help!
Hey guys, i really want to pick up a BLOX intake manifold for my LS turbo, but i've searched and searched on what to do about the sensor below (the unblurred part). i'm at work right now and i dont even know what the part is called. i know that all of the aftermarket mani's dont have provisions for this part. i'm also OBDIIb-OBD1 converted so i dont even know if i need it anymore.
Is it even worth upgrading? thanks guys.

That is the EVAP purge solenoid.
You can still retain that with an upgraded manifold...you just have to run a line from it to the manifold and mount it somewhere with zipties or something. Seeing as you are in California and that part is for emissions only, you probably want to keep it functional.

is that why the aftermarket manifolds have an extra nipple that most other people block off?

I think that extra nipple is for the PCV system, and most people modify their stock PCV system. But yes the BLOX IM is definetly worth a few extra horses and it's pretty reasonable for price. Install a Hondata gasket while your at it.
