Default Si cluster in DX

I just put a Si cluster in my 98 Civic Dx and I think I have a problem. Are the arms on the gauges suppose to light up? At night it is really hard to see the arms so I am assuming that they should light up. My dimmer switch is all of the way up. Is there any wiring that needs to be done to turn the arm lights on? I searched but could not find anything. Thanks for the help!

ok so the arms are defiantly suppose to light up?

is it one bulb for all of the arms? or four separate ones? none of the arms are lighting up (tach, speedo, gas and coolant temp). thanks!

yes. Check your Install again, maybe the clips didnt get plugged in completely. or take it apart, plug it in and see what bulbs are burnt out, but be careful with the plastic clips

to replace the bulbs do i need to remove the needles? i they are very fragile and i have had bad experience with them in the past...

does anyone know if each arm had its own bulb, or do all four run off of one?

thanks!

wait the needles actually light up on an Si cluster? or is it just reflection from the bulbs in the cluster that highlight the needles?

The needles DONT light up like the Integra cluster. The top two bulbs on the black bezel are burnt out. Replace them and light will shine onto the needles.

can you throw up a pick of the si cluster in your dx? was thinking of doing the swap, how much do si clusters go for? I saw one on craigs for $250 but i thought that was expensive.

It wont look much different in your Dx then it does in an SI.. 250 sounds expensive, Look in the marketplace people are selling them all the time... 160 sounds more reasonable

If I could get them for $160, I'd buy them all the time and resell them for $200.

its the two on the top, on on the right, the other is on the left and has a long wire attached that connects to another bulb on the back of the cluster. all i did was take the two bulbs off of my old cluster and put them in the new one, looks mint now
