i was informed that if a 99-00 civic si guage cluster in a 96-00 hatch the check engine light will stay on. If so is there a way to turn it off???

No it does not. I know because i have one in my hatchie, and it works great.

i also have one in my 1996 EK out o f a 2000 Si. whoever told u that musta been a mustanging mulletosis retard because no lights come on. ITS WIRED THAT WAY! only thing different is the addition of the tach and colors. Honda cut costs and reused lots of parts over the years...IE accord wagon 5-lug and ITR 5-lug.
IE................B MOTORS!
IE..............HEADLIGHT HOUSINGS
hoods doors etc....interiors usually dont change much from the same chassis model year.

The only main difference ever from the EK's was the 96-98 has a different A/C audio console than the 99+ EK chassissssssssss.
